We are looking short stories on the theme of “Manchester (UK) in a warmer world.”
Top prize is £200 in cold hard cash. There are second and third prizes too!
Word limit is 2000 words. Entries close Friday 16th August, and winners will be announced at a public event held during Manchester Literature Festival.
Two prestigious judges have kindly agreed to select the winning entries from a shortlist. Those judges are Professor Mark Maslin of University College London (and author of Global Warming A Very Short Introduction and Climate, A Very Short Introduction, Oxford University Press (in press – June 2013) and Liz Jensen, author of The Uninvited, The Rapture and other novels).
