On your own

Reduce your carbon and ecological footprint
Fly only when you absolutely must/not at all
Drive as little as possible, in the most efficient car possible
Walk, cycle, take public transport
Don’t waste food
Go vegetarian/vegan
Insulate your house (and there are ways to pressure your landlord etc)
Switch to a renewable provider
Wear warmer clothes instead of turning the heating on, where possible

Increase your political footprint
Get informed about a local issue that matters to you
Talk to friends, neighbours, family
Write letters to the editor of the local newspapers
Lobby your local and national politicians about it
Get involved with a worthwhile campaigning group
