Grassroots Network Developer Vacancy (part time)

Since Autumn 2010, the Stop Climate Chaos Coalition (SCC) has been working with its member organisations to encourage supporters to connect with each other locally and lobby MPs through ‘climate connections’. Following on from this work, SCC has developed a strategy to build up targeted grassroots pressure in key MP constituencies on an ongoing basis. We are seeking an experienced Network Developer to help develop and deliver this strategy.

Overall purpose of the job

To help develop deliver SCC’s grassroots political strategy in coordination with the grassroots strategy group and SCC coalition member organisations.

To develop and support grassroots networks of existing SCC organisation supporters, as well as other relevant local groups, in target areas to influence key MPs up to and during the 2015 General Election.

Location: London strongly preferred but other locations considered

Salary: £25,000 p.a. (pro rata) plus pension contributions, for the right applicant we will consider up to £28,000 p.a.

Post details:
– Part time (3 days per week or equivalent), post until 31st March 2013, with a strong possibility of extension subject to funding.
– There is likely to be frequent travel, including evening and weekend work.
