Poll: Guess The Council’s Flight Offset Bill!

Finally. After days of waiting around and numerous phone calls to Manchester City Council, we have received answers to our questions about the number of flights taken by elected members from the end of 2009 to 2011. And it’s exciting stuff. We can confirm that the council has offset and would like our readers to guess the amount the council has paid to offset flights from December 2009 to November 2011.

Trust me, it will surprise you. Or maybe it won’t.

Correct guesses will either mean you are a genius or that you have managed to hack into our email account. Both worthy CV points I am told.

We will reveal all tomorrow- the number of flights taken, to where, offsetting protocol and the number of business flights taken by members of the Strategic Management Team.

  1. 32,000 miles flown and they paid nothing to off-set (as if it would actually counter the environmental damage done).

Hmmm, maybe a flight every month, @ £10 per flight, so about £240?
