We could make it?! The fact that Derrida is dead, well, there’s that whole “death of the author” thing. And stitching together bits of old van Damme films is what the young folk call a mash-up, but 20 years ago was celebrated as the de-centring of privileged authorality, and the celebration of the collapse of the grand narratives, ne c’est pas?
‘Conspiracist ideation in the blogosphere’? Holy moly, what a phrase…
I’m sure they’re right, though. The worst of it is, people with that mindset are just not amenable to reason. Whatever is said, whatever evidence is produced, is just grist to their flaky mill.
