Volunteer Opportunity: Help Create a Giant Cyclist for the #Manchester Day Parade

Wotcher doing on the weekend of Sat/Sun 18th/19th May? Whatever it is, you could be doing this.

Help Create a Giant Cyclist for the Manchester Day Parade

Plans are now finally coming together. Our artist/maker, Julian Taylor is building a giant bike in his workshop in Liverpool.

Over the weekend 18th and 19th May we will be building a giant puppet to ride the bike. We have pencilled in the mornings of both days, 10am to 1pm to build the puppet and flags for the many bikes taking part.

We need lots of people to help with this build, please email mdp@gmx.co.uk to get involved.

For the parade itself we will also need people to turn up and take part. We will be looking to reflect different groups of people who cycle, from business people on Bromptons to bikes with baskets on the front to the Tweed riders on their historic machines.

The parade is on Sunday 2nd of June, email mdp@gmx.co.uk if you can take part. Places are limited!
