Another year for #Manchester – Carbon Coop 2013 and 2014

Carbon Coop‘s Jonathan Atkinson answers MCFly questions…

What was your biggest achievement in 2013?
Keeping on track to deliver our package of 13 whole house retrofits via a community-owned and run co-operative.

If you could go back to the beginning of the year and give yourself one warning/piece of advice, what would it be?

Everything will take twice as long as you think it will and don’t trust either the energy companies or the Treasury.

What have you got planned for 2014, and how can people get involved in what you do?
We will be launching our Community Green Deal householders and recruiting more householders.
People can join Carbon Co-op as members and we’ll be looking to run a volunteering programme in 2014. We’ve received funding from CSE to run an Open Green Homes week in Spring/Summer 2014, with upwards of 40+ eco-homes open to the public – watch this space for more info.
