Dear GM ESD Forum participant,
The next GM ESD forum is going to be held on Thursday 23rd October, starting at 1.30pm at Bridge 5 Mill, 22a Beswick Street, Ancoats, M4 7HR.
We will be exploring the topic of ‘Water’, considering the importance of water, how it sits in the new curriculum and how this important and valuable resource can become a part of your project work, whether you are growing food, teaching climate change, or encouraging people to walk to school.
Our speakers will be sharing their experience and knowledge of delivering this theme and include James Hall from the Lancashire Wildlife Trust based in Bolton where they deliver River Studies, Andrea Marshall from MCC sharing the ‘Red to Blue’ project on the river Medlock and Liz Newbon from Oxfam who will be sharing the resources they have developed around water.
We will also have time to network and share what we’re all working on.
Do hope you can make it – just drop me an email to tell me you are coming.
All the very best
Raichael

Nothing on rainwater harvesting, grey-water recycling and SUDS?
Go along and point this out to them!
Unfortunately I will be away, preparing for my move abroad, Like a good bilge rat, I am abandoning ship before it sinks.
You do know that this is a *global* crisis, yes? 😛
Good luck
Yes, it is a global problem, but some Governments have made efforts to move towards a more sustainable future. Meanwhile in the UK, especially Manchester, our air quality is getting progressively worse. Hence the reason Manchester has the least life expectancy and lower well-being expectations than most cities in the UK.
