£24, 446 per annum

The key purpose of this job is to undertake and assist with projects across the North of England (and elsewhere as required) that lead to the development of new cycle routes and public realm improvement. This will include undertaking feasibility studies, public engagement exercises, producing maps and drawings and undertaking site visits.
Educated to a good standard, you will be knowledgeable on the issues surrounding walking and cycling infrastructure and hold a good understanding of wider transport and urban design issues and how they interact with creating more liveable spaces and supporting more sustainable transport mode. You must have the ability to build effective working relationships with a range of project partners, be able to self-motivate and use your own initiative and have the ability to work to tight deadlines to produce high quality reports and drawings. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and presentation skills are essential, as is an ability to be well organised and efficient and be confident with undertaking public engagement. You will also be committed to Sustrans vision and the promotion of sustainable transport.
